Today's society is experiencing a significant increase in the use of ICT, which has impacted the educational field under the socio-cultural paradigm. This paradigm highlights the constant interaction between subject, object and environment, highlighting the need to analyse how technologies support the scaffolding between the current and the next zone of development. The aim of this research was to analyse the active methodologies that can be implemented in the Common Curriculum Framework for Higher Secondary Education (CCCEMS) for the construction of knowledge in students. The study was developed under a quantitative approach, using a sample of 266 EMS students. A validated instrument with a Cronbach's alpha reliability of .970 was applied to measure variables related to active methodologies and ICT. The results showed that 100% of the students use ICT in their learning, highlighting a marked preference for active simulation methodologies as the most appropriate strategy for implementation in various subjects. These findings reflect the importance of integrating technological tools and innovative methodologies that respond to the current demands of the educational environment and promote the construction of meaningful knowledge in EMS students.
