Analysis of the applicability of teaching communication skills in digital environments

This study seeks to analyze the applicability of the teaching competencies of communication with digital environments in educational units Zone 7 - Ecuador of District 11D01, during the school year 2022-2023, using the deductive method, with a quantitative approach and descriptive scope. A study sample of 55 teachers was selected from 3 educational units (Fiscal, Fiscomicional and Particular) of District 11D01 of Education Zone 7 during the school year 2023-2024. A structured questionnaire based on Michay et al. (2020) was applied to these teachers using the survey technique, which was administered and distributed online. The following results were obtained: A clear difference in the applicability of digital competencies among teachers from different educational institutions, in which the “Private Institution” outperforms the “Fiscomisional and Fiscal Institutions” in all the competencies evaluated with percentages above 40%. Finally, among the evaluated competencies, those with the highest percentages were: “a) Interaction through different devices with digital tools” and “c) Participation and communication in digital environments with educational actors”.
